On the 29th of September, 60 children from various parishes around Sydney gathered at All Saint’s Church Belmore to embark on their annual Sunday School Camp. The theme of this year’s camp was “Miracles of Christ” and each group focused on one particular miracle. It was an action packed retreat full of activities, games and spiritual learning.

The highlights of the camp were the Divine Liturgy on Thursday officiated by Abbot Eusebios of Pantanassa Monastery and the visit of his Eminence Archbishop Stylianos with his Grace Bishop Iakovos. His Eminence addressed the children with a heartfelt talk on Saint Stylianos who is the patron saint of children.

The camp was a wonderful opportunity for the children to develop new friendships, hear about their faith, and grow their love for God. Each activity, whether it was the flying fox or singing Christian songs, was done in a spirit of joy, love and gratefulness towards God.

The Sunday School Camp is annual retreat organised by the Greek Orthodox Christian Society for young boys and girls aged 10-12. The camp runs for 3 days during the September school holidays.
